PFD

In textile manufacturing, those processing operations performed on greige fabric, coloured fabric, textile yarns or fibres to ready them for dyeing is called PFD (Prepared for Dyeing). For example, typical greige cotton fabric preparation includes singeing, desizing, scouring, bleaching and (optionally) mercerising.
